Leadership Retreat Venue

Big-picture thinking inspired by open desert and endless skies

A private 2,600-acre luxury ranch 25 minutes from Santa Fe, where your members can reconnect, recharge, and envision what's next.

The whole place, and a whole team, devoted to your group

You’re organizing a retreat for your peer or leadership group, and you want a place that lives up to the high caliber of the people you’re bringing. At Rising Circle Ranch, your group will have full run of its own private luxury retreat center – surrounded by 2,600 acres of high desert, hiking trails, and gathering spaces for deep conversation.

Designed by hotelier and longtime YPO member Chip Conley, our two  retreat centers were built to give small groups a high-end retreat experience that feels completely their own. Every detail was chosen with a hotelier’s eye – hand-selected tile, solid wood wardrobes, organic cotton bathrobes, beds you won’t want to leave.

Chip trained our hospitality staff to notice what your group needs and handle it before you have to ask. However your days come together, we will handle every detail, so you can focus on your members and the work you came here to do together.

Three people engaged in conversation outdoors, enjoying drinks with a scenic background of clouds and greenery. A group of people gather around a fire pit at night, enjoying music and conversation in a cozy outdoor setting.

Built around how your group gathers

Peer groups come in every size, and we shape each booking to fit. A small forum of six or eight can share a retreat center with another group; several forums can book together to fill a center as a full chapter; a Vistage group, a TIGER21 group, or a mastermind can take a center for itself. Whatever your group looks like, we build the plan around it.

That includes the part most venues won’t touch. We’ll hold your date and your space while your group fills, so you have runway to promote and hit your numbers before you sign a contract. If it doesn’t come together in time, we release the hold, with no penalty to you. It’s flexibility a traditional venue can’t offer, from a team that understands how these groups actually work.

The work goes deeper here

Your group came to think through the things that matter – the decisions, the counsel, the questions no one back home can help with. That work goes further in a place like this than it ever does in a hotel conference room.

Mornings can open with a facilitated session and the honest exchange your group came for. Between sessions, the land does its part: a horseback ride across the range, a walk to the petroglyphs, an hour by the fire where the conversation keeps going. The distance from everything, and the expansiveness of the open desert, let your members think in a way the everyday never allows.

Chip Conley, a longtime peer-group member himself, has designed and facilitated sessions built for groups like yours – on topics like why wisdom is a strategic advantage in the age of AI, the practice of managing hard-won wisdom, and the fine art of mentoring. When his schedule allows, Chip can lead a session for your group directly.

Beautiful spaces built for breakthroughs

Set on a working high-desert ranch in New Mexico’s Galisteo Basin, this is a retreat property built for groups that want to connect and do meaningful work, so everyone leaves inspired and reinvigorated, with a clear plan for what’s next.

The architecture is authentic Pueblo Revival: earth-toned adobe-style buildings with hand-hewn timber posts, exposed beams, and shaded portales that wrap around a series of landscaped courtyards.

The layout is the advantage for peer and leadership events. Two-story guest wings frame interior courtyards organized around communal fire pits – natural gathering points for the unstructured conversations where the best work often happens.

The high-ceilinged guest rooms are private and thoughtfully designed, with handcrafted furniture, regional textiles, and views looking out on the open desert. Fill a retreat center and it’s yours alone – no competing events, no strangers in the common spaces, just your group and the open desert. That’s exclusivity a hotel or conference center can’t match.

Space to focus, room to unwind

The two centers sleep up to 86 across 43 rooms: Cottonwood (up to 44) and Juniper (up to 42). Give everyone a private room, or pair people up to bring the per-person cost down. Each room was designed by hotelier Chip Conley, with the kind of beds and hand-selected finishes that make a few days away feel like a reward.

The setting may be remote, but the meeting space leaves nothing out. Each retreat center has its own meeting space, set up the way your group works:

Flexible setups – circle, horseshoe, or theater

A 65" display with HDMI for presentations

Flip charts, markers, and sticky notes for working sessions

Reliable Wi-Fi and power throughout

A snack and beverage station that stays stocked

Full production AV available through our preferred local vendor when you need to scale up

Meals worth lingering over

Our chefs cook three meals a day from scratch, using organic ingredients grown and raised nearby – the flavors of Northern New Mexico, drawn from Native American, Spanish, and Mexican traditions. Your group dines at long tables, family-style, the way the best conversations tend to keep going. Beer and wine with dinner, a welcome reception on arrival, and every dietary need handled.

The best conversations happen out on the land

Some of the most valuable exchanges of the trip happen on the trail or around the fire. Build the days around experiences your members can only have here:

Ride out across the range on horseback, or settle in for a carriage ride behind our team of Percherons

Hike the arroyos to ancient petroglyphs and a view that runs for miles

Spend a session in equine-assisted learning, where the horses help each person understand themselves better

Slow down with a sound bath, morning yoga, or an hour in the hot-stone sauna

Gather around the fire under some of the darkest skies in the Southwest, where the talk tends to keep going

Your event, your way

Every group’s retreat is priced to what it needs. Rates are all-inclusive – lodging, all meals, daily activities, your private meeting space, and use of the grounds – and shift with the season.

A full buyout of a retreat center starts at an 18-room minimum, with day-use and add-on rates available on request.

Let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll put together a proposal built around your group: capacity, room configurations, a sample flow for the days, and clear, all-in pricing in one place.

Leave the logistics to us

Travel, rooms, meals, meeting setup, activities – it all comes together before you arrive, planned with you over a couple of calls, then handled by our team on the ground. No vendor wrangling, no last-minute scrambles. Your gathering runs on schedule, and the person who organized it gets to be part of it instead of running it from the sidelines.
